ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,459,630, issued on Nov. 4.
"Aircraft with lift thrust system concealed in an airfoil" was invented by Paul Budge (St. George, Utah).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Aircraft and airfoils for more efficient flight operations using electric motors. An aircraft includes an airfoil and a thrust device rotatably mounted within the airfoil. An airfoil includes a top surface, a bottom surface, a compartment disposed between the top surface and the bottom surface, and a thrust device rotatably mounted within the compartment."
The patent was filed on Jan. 17, 2023, under Application No. 18/098,016.
