According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An x-ray tube includes an inner wall including a target surface and an outer wall disposed about the inner wall and defining a gap therebetween. A corrugated structure is disposed in the gap and is coupled to both the inner wall and the outer wall so as to define a plurality of channels therebetween. The corrugated structure is configured to allow a coolant to flow through the channels.
