ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,478,497, issued on Nov. 25.
"Waterproof customizable appendage splinting kit" was invented by Diana Hall (Pueblo, Colo.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Customizable split kits are provided including a plurality of components that may be assembled into a waterproof and breathable wrist splint. The splint assembled from the kit can fit multiple size/shaped arms or other appendages, is moldable for custom positioning, protective, immobilizing, and locks-on for compliance."
The patent was filed on March 17, 2023, under Application No. 18/185,816.
