According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An animal deterrent device configured to be mountable to a pole, the device including a sleeve and a baffle movably mounted to the sleeve. The sleeve includes a lumen, a top end and a bottom end, the sleeve configured to be mountable around the pole such that the sleeve is movable along a first portion of the length of the pole, wherein the sleeve is supported on the pole using an elastic member.
