According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A gun forearm support apparatus includes a base, an adjustable upright, and a saddle. The upright comprises two opposing ends, wherein the first end is coupled to the base via an articulating hinge (or hinges), wherein the second end supports the saddle. Upon deployment, the forearm support vertically supports a gun forearm within the saddle as supported by the upright depending from the base."
