According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for assisting placement of a footwear onto a foot by utilizing footwear having an upper and lower assembled together by joining upper and lower fasteners. One of the upper and lower is placed against the foot in an appropriate position and the other of the upper and lower is subsequently located in the other appropriate position.
