ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,473,221, issued on Nov. 18.
"Water remediation" was invented by David Sean Jeffers (Rose Prairie, Canada) and Arlee Frederick McRae (Fort St. John, Canada).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Embodiments of the invention relate to removing suspended and solids from water using coagulating chemicals to coagulate the solids and hydrocarbon components to float the coagulated solids and where the same are removed from a water reservoir by mechanical means such as skimming."
The patent was filed on Dec. 2, 2022, under Application No. 18/061,175.
