"Matte reinforced zirconia abutment adequate for digital scanning and method for manufacturing same" was invented by Tae Seok Park (Seoul, South Korea).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided are a matte reinforced zirconia abutment and a method for manufacturing the same wherein zirconia powder corresponding to the standard colors of a shade guide is used to provide the abutment with a quality similar to a natural tooth, while solving the problem a titanium abutment has had, that is, the difficulties in digital scanning because light is reflected by the gloss of the titanium abutment, and the whole machining m...
