ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,474,927, issued on Nov. 18.

"Large data read techniques" was invented by Qing Liang (Boise, Idaho) and Nadav Grosz (Broomfield, Colo.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Devices and techniques are disclosed herein for more efficiently exchanging large amounts of data between a host and a storage system. In an example, a read command can optionally include a read-type indicator. The read-type indicator can allow for exchange of a large amount of data between the host and the storage system using a single read command."

The patent was filed on April 18, 2024, under Application No. 18/639,014.
