ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,473,095, issued on Nov. 18.

"High visibility hook latch" was invented by Andres Hernandez (Yorba Linda, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A high visibility hook latch may include a hook arm having a proximal end and a distal end; a handle pivotably attached to the proximal end of the hook arm; and a connector having a first connector end pivotably attached to the distal end of the hook arm via a link and a second connector end pivotably attached to the handle proximate to the hook arm."

The patent was filed on Feb. 20, 2021, under Application No. 17/180,729.
