ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,474,132, issued on Nov. 18.
"Enhanced bolt carrier assembly" was invented by Kurt Andrew Kosman (Albany, Mo.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A bolt carrier assembly having a bolt carrier with at least one gas exit hole located at the bottom of the bolt carrier so as to allow the passage of gas generated from a discharged round of ammunition downward into the magazine and magazine well of a firearm, away from the user."
The patent was filed on June 19, 2024, under Application No. 18/747,810.
