According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed is a curtain rod hanging assembly which may comprise a curtain rod, and a rod attachment assembly configured to attach the curtain rod to a wall, wherein the curtain rod may comprise an elongated tube including a bottom slot opening and an inner support track for supporting one or more curtain hooks, and the rod attachment assembly is provided on an outer side of the curtain rod to leave the inner support track uninterrupted."
