ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,312,196, issued on May 27.
"Wrapper cutter" was invented by Yong Liu (Zhejiang, China).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A wrapper cutter, including a shell having an axially penetrating hollow structure, an elongated slit extending along an axial direction further provided on one side edge of the shell, a cutting knife fixedly mounted on an inner bottom wall of the elongated slit; and a vertical plate arranged on an outer wall of the shell. The vertical plate extends along a circumferential direction of the shell and at least partially covers the elongated slit."
The patent was filed on Sept. 30, 2024, under Application No. 18/900,990.
