According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This disclosure relates to sugar-free sweetener compositions that have substantially the same taste, mouth feel and texture as simple syrup and leave a minimal or negligible aftertaste. The disclosure further relates to methods for making the sugar-free sweetener compositions of the present disclosure and methods for sweetening a beverage or food product using the sugar-free sweetener compositions of the present disclosure."
