ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,310,542, issued on May 27.
"Hand cleansing and monitoring device" was invented by John Turner (St. Albans, Great Britain) and Kathryn Robinson (St. Albans, Great Britain).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A non-contact unitary device for hand cleansing and monitoring hand hygiene comprises means for delivery of hand cleansing material containing a light activatable marker and a space for the placement of hands after washing and provided with means for shining light onto the hands when within the space for activation of any marker remaining on the hands after washing."
The patent was filed on Feb. 5, 2021, under Application No. 17/798,163.
