"Augmented reality decorating system" was invented by Jacqueline M. Greaney (Middleton, Wis.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system for adding decor to a space, the system configured for receiving an input from a user indicative of a space, graphically presenting an item for the space to the user and receiving an input indicating a selection of the item for the space. The system determines whether the item is appropriate for the space, and graphically presents the item graphically modeled in the space to the user."

The patent was filed on May 6, 2022, under Application No. 17/738,741.
