According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A placeholder device for quickly providing a visual indication of the location of where to return a file folder from a stack of file folders. The placeholder has a first leaf, a second leaf, and a tab. The second leaf extends from the first leaf in a perpendicular direction to form an L-shape with the first leaf.
