ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,305,374, issued on May 20.

"Modularized electronic faucets" was invented by Fadi Shakkour (Encino, Calif.) and Roaa Nabeel Nacy (Anaheim, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An electronic faucet that has a controller module cartridge that is detachably connected to a spout assembly by an adapter."

The patent was filed on Feb. 16, 2023, under Application No. 18/170,002.
