According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A cage-like face mask for supporting a fabric or cloth covering to prevent the spread and contraction of diseases is provided. The face mask includes a main curved support and a pair of ear pieces extending from opposed ends of the main curved support. A main mobile curved support is pivotally connected to the main curved support and is releasably attached to the pair of ear pieces such that the face mask may be changed from a fully expanded condition for use to a fully collapsed condition for transport.
