ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. PP36,699, issued on May 20.
"Begonia plant named 'Little Moon'" was invented by Ozzie W. Johnson Jr. (Marietta, Ga.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct cultivar of Begonia plant named 'Little Moon' is disclosed, characterized by its dark green foliage mottled with silver. Plants exhibit root hardiness, small leaf size and rhizomatous spreading. Flowers are light pink with darker pink flower buds. The new cultivar is a Begonia, typically suited for garden and ornamental container use."
The patent was filed on Nov. 12, 2024, under Application No. 18/944,063.
