According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is a stackable weight that can be stacked alongside other stackable weights to achieve a desired weight on a weight bar. The stackable weight includes a handle to carry the stackable weight, an opening to attach the stackable weight to a weight bar, and at least one feature to engage at least one feature of a second stackable weight.
