ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. PP36,674, issued on May 13.

"Aruncus plant named 'Goatee'" was invented by Hans A Hansen (Zeeland, Mich.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The new hybrid Aruncus plant named 'Goatee' with sharply-lobed, dentate, tri-pinnately compound, dark-green foliage holding well into the season. Light creamy buds transition to near-white flowers on airy scapes, above foliage on heavily branched panicles with nearly horizontal branches."

The patent was filed on July 11, 2023, under Application No. 18/445,326.
