ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,258,929, issued on March 25.
"Method and apparatus for sealing a spark plug well" was invented by Paul J. Gremillion (Slidell, La.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method and apparatus for sealing a sparkplug well to prevent oil intrusion includes a sleeve that is dimensioned and configured to firmly fit within the well interior. A user removes the engine coils, cleans the spark plug well, applies a sealant to the sleeve exterior and the inner wall of the sparkplug well, inserts the sleeve into the well, and reinstalls the coils once the sealant has dried."
The patent was filed on Aug. 25, 2023, under Application No. 18/237,973.
