ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. PP36,573, issued on March 25.
"Helleborus plant named 'HL 1036'" was invented by Josef Heuger (Glandorf, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct cultivar of Helleborus plant named 'HL 1036' characterized by its upright to somewhat outwardly spreading and mounded plant habit; moderately vigorous to vigorous growth habit; dark green-colored leaflets with lighter green-colored venation; freely flowering habit; purplish red-colored flowers; and good garden performance."
The patent was filed on Nov. 24, 2023, under Application No. 18/518,904.
