ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,259,754, issued on March 25.

"Evaporative humidifier to maintain humidity of VR headset microclimate" was invented by Suraj Pratap (Las Vegas).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A virtual reality system that increases humidity within a virtual reality headset via at least one humidification element incorporated into the headset. The humidification element may comprise a water retaining reservoir which includes at least one evaporative surface that allows for diffusion of the water from within the reservoir."

The patent was filed on July 5, 2024, under Application No. 18/764,384.
