"Electric turbocharger with cooling passages" was invented by Koji Sakota (Tokyo), Yuji Sasaki (Tokyo) and Shun Nakayama (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An electric turbocharger includes an electric motor including a stator disposed annularly about a rotation axis, a first member thermally coupled with a first end face of the stator and forming a first cooling passage that extends around the rotation axis, and a second member thermally coupled with a second end face of the stator and accommodating a second cooling passage that extends around the rotation axis."
