ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,257,738, issued on March 25.
"Bonding wood or other plant products using ultrasound energy" was invented by Bobak Ha'Eri (Minnetonka, Minn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A filler material is applied to a plurality of wood elements. The plurality of wood elements is bonded into a composite wood product, where the bonding includes delivering ultrasound energy to the plurality of wood elements. The ultrasound energy has a frequency within a frequency range of 10 kHz-20 MHz."
The patent was filed on March 11, 2024, under Application No. 18/600,882.
