According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A bathtub lift (1) includes a floor plate (2), a seat plate (3) adjustable to vary the distance between the seat plate (3) and the floor plate (2), and a back plate (4) detachably arranged on the seat plate (3). The back plate (4) supports an adjustment device (5) driven by a drive (6) for adjusting the distance between the floor plate and the seat plate.
