According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Systems and methods for attaching with a ski to provide improved traction while climbing snowy grades. Exemplary climbing track assemblies can include an attachment to the bottom of a ski that improves traction for hiking or climbing uphill. Assemblies can also include an under-binding bracket, which is mounted under the toe-piece binding of the ski which allows the device to be securely fastened.
