According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A novel fire-retardant protective bib including a generally rectangular or square body having a front surface and a rear surface. The rear surface has a textile friendly adhesive material that may be detachably attached or laid across a clothing article of a smoking user such that the front surface of the bib collects ashes and debris dropped from a cigar, cigarette, cannabis, and the like.
