ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,251,834, issued on March 18.

"Cable robot" was invented by Frederic Vachon (Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Canada).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A suspension cable robot is provided, its stability can be improved by using at least three groups of three cables arranged in a parallelogram manner. The ability to remain stable when subjected to forces acting on the robot platform or end effector is thereby significantly increased. The cable robot can be moved by cables to different working locations."

The patent was filed on Nov. 27, 2023, under Application No. 18/519,259.
