ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,253,666, issued on March 18.
"Attenuable resistive optical isolation circuit and device" was invented by Jon B. Cusack (Holland, Mich.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An electrical optical isolation circuit and device characterized by a light source, a light-sensitive sensor, and a variable shield between the light source and the light-sensitive sensor, the variable shield being adjustable after assembly of the electrical circuit, and the variable shield adjustment providing attenuation of the electrical circuit output."
The patent was filed on March 17, 2023, under Application No. 18/185,735.
