"Device and method to remove hives of bees and other pollinators without killing them" was invented by Saejal Chatter (Concord, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A device is described for cooling air and directing it onto a hive. As the hive cools, pollinators within have reduced mobility and are not able to move aggressively to attack the remover. A temperature sensor within the device allows the remover to identify when air is sufficiently cooled to reduce pollinator activity without being lethal.
