According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A stabilized ladder assembly includes a step ladder that has a set of climbing legs and a set of support legs each is hingedly coupled to a top support. A pair of lateral supports is each pivotally disposed on the step ladder.
