ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,329,525, issued on June 17.
"Therapeutic training device for autism" was invented by Heidi Kershaw (Manhattan Beach, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A therapeutic training device configured to be worn on the face of a therapist and capable of displaying media content to a patient with ASD, wherein a level of the displayed media content may be adjusted to permit the patient to see the eyes of the therapist through the media content."
The patent was filed on Feb. 22, 2021, under Application No. 17/181,544.
