ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,330,755, issued on June 17.
"Surfboard and spring assembly" was invented by Stuart Douglas Campbell (Queensland, Australia).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A surfboard having a core, a first elongate spring member located adjacent an upper side of the core, and a second elongate spring member located adjacent a lower side of the core, wherein the first elongate spring member extends substantially from a nose portion of the surfboard to a tail portion of the surfboard."
The patent was filed on Dec. 4, 2020, under Application No. 17/783,784.
