According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An apparatus and method for refilling a chalk containment pouch, also called a chalk ball/sock/sphere with a quantity of chalk. The apparatus includes a refill ring formed as a cylindrical body defining an interior passage extending between a top opening and a bottom opening.
