ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,330,078, issued on June 17.
"Multi-channel model train sound optimization system and method" was invented by Martin Pierson (Ormond Beach, Fla.) and Joseph Goddard (Ormond Beach, Fla.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A multi-channel model train sound reproduction system, in which digital sound files are assigned to a particular channel. The channel assignment may be fixed or variable depending on operation state. For the variable embodiments, channel assignment is preferably done in real time according to the configuration that will produce the highest quality sound reproduction."
The patent was filed on Sept. 29, 2022, under Application ...
