ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,331,520, issued on June 17.

"Methods and systems for modular buildings" was invented by Charles H. Leahy (Asheville, N.C.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A modular seamless corner component for providing a corner to a structure without having to compromise between structural integrity and energy efficiency. The continuous insulation and structure of the modular seamless corner component provide for a stronger corner because there are no seams to magnify stress and provide for a high energy efficiency because there is no thermal bridging."

The patent was filed on Nov. 16, 2023, under Application No. 18/511,572.
