ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,327,474, issued on June 10.
"Traffic warning system for detecting and warning of bicycle traffic" was invented by Marc Dammers (Henderson, Nev.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A traffic warning system provides a motion activated warning device that is mounted to the surface of a road and is configured to generate a visual signal upon detection of bicycle and/or slow-moving traffic to warn oncoming traffic."
The patent was filed on Sept. 13, 2023, under Application No. 18/367,541.
