ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. PP36,729, issued on June 10.
"Grape plant named 'Resilience'" was invented by Thomas Alan Plocher (Hugo, Minn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "'Resilience' is a cold-hardy grape plant notable for its large fruit cluster size and its thick-skinned fruit resistant to splitting, insect attack and rot. 'Resilience' grapes are used in the production of wine."
The patent was filed on Feb. 14, 2025, under Application No. 19/054,476.
