According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An exercise machine has an inclined frame and a user supporting a carriage slidingly supported on the frame for movement along the frame. A cable and pulley system is operatively connected to the frame. The carriage is operable by a user supported on the carriage to move the carriage along the frame and under the resistance of the user's weight.
