ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,353,062, issued on July 8.

"Magnetic coupling for eyewear" was invented by Solomon White (Collingdale, Pa.) and Paul Danowski (Marlton, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system is provided for coupling a frame to an arm of an eyewear using magnetic attraction. The system can contain a first and a second series of magnets that couple in a vertical direction or a horizontal direction."

The patent was filed on Sept. 7, 2021, under Application No. 17/468,394.
