"Tin tag dispenser" was invented by Nicholas Soverns (Lake Worth, Fla.), Raymond Catania (Palm Bay, Fla.) and Shaun Kapples (Sebastian, Fla.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A tag dispenser may be used for holding and distributing tags near the barrel of a nail gun so that, in use, a nail is deployed through a tag onto a nailing surface. The tag dispense may include a tag housing for holding a plurality of tags and a wiper for pushing the tags towards a tag opening, where a tag may be positioned for a nail to be struck therethrough.
