ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,369,574, issued on July 29.
"Floats attachable to fishing lure" was invented by Douglas M. Reed (Bridgeton, N.J.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Fishing lures, and more particularly, attachable floats for artificial fishing lures that include a buoyant body having a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and an outer wall connecting the first and second ends. The float includes a keeper extending from the body. The keeper is configured to attach the body to a polymeric artificial lure."
The patent was filed on June 8, 2023, under Application No. 18/207,506.
