ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. PP36,864, issued on July 29.
"Chamelaucium plant named 'GRAND ADI'" was invented by Nitzan Nir (Kfar Hess, Israel).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct cultivar of Chamelaucium plant named 'GRAND ADI' is disclosed, characterized by plants producing large purple flowers in winter. Flower buds and round and uniquely brown and purple. The new variety is a Chamelaucium, normally producing cut flower stems, or as a garden or container plant."
The patent was filed on Sept. 19, 2024, under Application No. 18/889,489.
