ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,373,902, issued on July 29.

"Barmaster standalone drink monitoring system" was invented by Paul S Mula (San Jose, Calif.) and Scott C Harris (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A drink ordering and dispensing system. A drink is ordered, and placed into a database. When drinks are poured, their contents are automatically determined and they are added to the point of sale system, and the drink is popped up to the server, so that the server can associate that drink as poured to someone's bill."

The patent was filed on July 23, 2024, under Application No. 18/781,026.
