ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,364,296, issued on July 22.

"Illuminated apparatus including attachment means for attachment to apparel" was invented by Richard Obregon (Chatsworth, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An apparatus for attachment to apparel incorporating an illumination element for illuminating interchangeable emblems, which may be attached to the face of the illumination element, wherein the apparatus may be reconfigured upon the apparel and attached to other pieces of apparel without issue."

The patent was filed on Jan. 11, 2024, under Application No. 18/410,197.
