ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,360,370, issued on July 15.

"Head-mounted display apparatus with autofocus system" was invented by Vianney Le Clement De Saint-Marcq (Brussels), Jasper Van Bourgognie (Berchem, Belgium), Riemer Grootjans (Antwerp, Belgium) and Peter Verstraeten (Sint-Martens-Latem, Belgium).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The current invention concerns a head-mounted display apparatus, preferably smart glasses, with autofocus system, whereby the alignment of lens assembly and light beam emitter is improved."

The patent was filed on Aug. 20, 2020, under Application No. 17/636,115.
