According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A foot prosthetic having a pressure relieving, weight distribution pad having a convex surface and a concave surface. The pad includes a central portion having a maximum thickness, the pad gradually tapering from the central portion to an outer peripheral edge thereof, the pad providing a cushioning for the foot.
